Jeremiah & the red eyes

Jeremiah and the Red Eyes – www.jeremiahandtheredeyes.com
Jeremiah Sammartano, the Los Angeles based, Emmy nominated Native American singer/songwriter who fronts the bluesy/Americana group, Jeremiah and the Red Eyes, has covered many miles over the past several years – taking the various roads spreading music influenced by the raw blues of Charley Patton, the lyrical and often raucous sounds of The Pogues, the twang of Willie Nelson, and some vintage rock and roll – “Delta Blues and Twangy Grooves” – from Los Angeles outward through the Southwest, Austin, St. Louis, Nashville (where he relocated for a spell in 2008-2009), Chicago – and overseas to the UK. In the past Jeremiah has shared the stage with Willie Nelson, Southern Culture On The Skids, David Olney, Mike Stinson, SHURMAN and has performed on the radio shows: WDVX Blue Plate Special out of Knoxville, TN., The Live@Lunch show on KRFC out of Fort Collins, CO., and Chris Morris’ Watusi Rodeo show out of Los Angeles. In Spring 2011 Jeremiah received an Emmy nomination for writing music for the documentary, Prison Through Tomorrow’s Eyes. Three albums have been released – 2004’s Red Eyed And Restless and 2010’s Under Your Spell and in December 2012, a 10 song album called HOME – which was followed, in 2013, by local shows and a Southwest tour with friend Mikaela Dewar, from New Zealand currently living in Nashville, and shows across the Midwest and South. Plans for a Fall/Winter tour is in the works – and also to return to the UK.

The Naughty Bits!

The glam-rock influenced band who takes themselves not so seriously, takes their crowd quite seriously. Always throwing the party they’d want to go to themselves, every performance is full of medleys and mash-ups that run the gamut. From Rock n’ Roll via David Bowie era, to Funk Sly style, to bitchin’ 80’s New Wave like B-52’s. “They don’t do it anymore, but The Naughty Bits! do.”

Invincible Grins :)
Apr 20 @ 9:00 pm – Apr 21 @ 12:00 am

Invincible Grins :)

Born in the Verde Valley of Arizona, The Invincible Grins fuse eclecticism with unbridled enthusiasm, creating a unique and danceable style of sweaty rock and roll. Marrying strong and original songwriting with undeniable groove, the Grins draw inspiration from such artists as Tom Waits, Woody Guthrie, Andrew Bird, Talking Heads, Morphine, and Goran Bregovic, and have also been accused of sounding like “Gogol Bordello meets Fleetwood Mac.” Their music has been described as “funked-up folk”, “Gypsybilly”, and simply, “…like fun!” No matter what moniker is applied, one thing is for sure: The Invincible Grins are upbeat music for a beat up world. They remind you to have a drink and dance. Take it easy. Brace yourself. Everything’s gonna be alright!

karl jones in front of the american flagKarl Jones is from Dublin Ireland and has been living and working as a tour guide in Sedona for 4 years. He is an accomplished singer / songwriter / guitarist with radio and television appearances in both Ireland and the US to his credit.

Karl had a chance meeting with Thomas Banyacya, a Hopi Elder, in 1996 after an American concert at George Washington University in Washington DC. Thomas was on a speaking tour of the East Coast, teaching the public about Hopi spirituality and world view. Their meeting led to an invitation to Arizona to visit the Hopi Reservation, and Karl discovered Sedona along the way.

Enchanted by the experience and incredible beauty of the American Southwest, Karl relocated to Sedona from Ireland in 2002, immersing himself in the geology, history and wildlife of the Sedona area.

Attracted to the Safari Jeep Tour company because of it’s special connection to the Hopi and it’s focus on wildlife, Karl divides his time between his passion for giving Jeep tours, and promoting his debut solo CD 1916, with regular performances in Phoenix, Flagstaff, and Sedona.
